This article will help you sign up for and download Iris to help you get started blocking nudity on your compatible devices.
The first step to taking advantage of Iris’ state-of-the-art computer vision technology to block nudity from your Android mobile devices and Windows computers is to sign up for an account.
I Signed Up For An Account. Now What?
Once you have created a unique username and password, you will be able to download the software on your compatible devices directly from the same website. You can also use the Google Play Store on your Android device to download the application.
I Downloaded the Software on My Devices. Will It Block Porn Now?
After you’ve gone through the steps to download Iris onto your devices, you’ll need to sign in with the username and password you created at sign up. On a Windows computer, you’ll find an icon for Iris in the lower left-hand corner of your taskbar by your clock. If you do not see it (it’s a small circle icon), check the hidden icons menu. Depending on your Windows version, the button to open this menu will look like an upward arrow or a small triangle. If you don’t see the icon there either, try searching your downloaded programs for Iris. If the software comes up, you can launch it manually and sign in, which should place the icon in the lower left-hand corner of your system tray or in your hidden icon menu and at that point, you may now begin browsing and expect Iris to block pornography.
On your Android device, you should get a sign-in window after installation. If you do not, or if you exited out of it accidentally, or if you just want to make sure you’re signed in, locate Iris in your list of apps, then click on it to see if you are signed in. If, when you click on it, you see a screen that says “Sign In”, you’ll need to enter that information. If you get a menu screen, you have successfully signed in. After you have verified that the application is there and you have logged in, check your Notifications Bar for a black and white version of the Iris icon.
